Worcester Greenstar 28i boiler always on

Hi all,

Was hoping for some help regarding my boiler which has been working great until yesterday when it decided to turn on and stay on despite having the thermostat set to zero (and changing batteries). This means the ch is on permanently (and working fine) until I switch the boiler off.

I changed the pcb as suggested in the manual but the problem is still there.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Are you getting live at RT.

Disconnect external controls to rule them out

Changed the pcb you could have saved a fortune trying what terrydoh has said. Some stats need re-marrying after the batteries run out. As said disconnect the stat from the boiler and put a link in.

Had one with the diverter valve stuck & with the pre heat on it just kept heating the rads.

Thanks for the replies. Just to update, I installed a new controller and it now works like a dream!

Managed to get the money back on the pcb

What merchant was that...one to avoid. They should not be taking back pcbs.
