We have BT Broadband using BT Voyager 2000 wi-fi across three PCs - all works well.

My son has an Xbox which he wants to connect to his PC in order to transfer files (games), but he hasn't been able to do this successfully. I think for example he wants to use transfer a game from his PC onto the DVD writer of the Xbox (I think that's what he wants to do anyway).

I have high encrypted firewall set on the Voyager which I do not want to remove or disable.

Any ideas how he can achieve what he wants?

If you have no objection, I can transfer this to a different forum where you are more likely to get a response, or failing that, you can wait here, there's a good chance someone will know.

Not that DIYnot is not the best forum in the world of course :)

It's ok now thanks - he solved his problem.

Wasn't writing to DVD on Xbox (it hasn't got one) - he wanted to copy the game (iso) from the PC to his Xbox as he doesn't have a DVD Writer (I misunderstood what he was saying).

Anyway - he says he has managed now with some effort, so I guess the question is closed.
