yet another extraction fan question

im doing my bathroom and need extraction. plan to install an ordinary fan without a timer. can i just go from the existing ceiling rose for power so the fan comes on with the lights. thanks

Only if the room hasn't got a natural lighting via a window. Yes a isolator is 'nice', but the rules aren't a 'must do' provided that if you need to maintain the fan the light circuit can be isolated and you can still see the work via natural (god's) lighting.
 
Have you read the manufacturers instructions?
You may need a 3A FCU which could also serve as an isolation switch for the fan.
