I had not heard of a Strap Wrench until I searched for advice on loosening a tap for repair without damaging the surface with a metal wrench or spanner. I searched for different options and they all seemed to have am mix of positive and negative reviews. I went for this product as it seemed reasonably priced. It arrived promptly and I it looked decent quality and VFM. I tried several times for three days to remove the tap cover without success. I was about to give up when I finally succeeded. I don’t know if it was the multiple tiny loosenings that finally worked or if I eventually got the right technique after practicing on my wrist. So great satisfaction after the success and I then went on to loosen a few other things when I was on a roll. It should also be good for the wife if she has trouble with a jar of pickle, etc.Just check the size for the job as it could be a bit too big for small spaces.Read full review

I have replaced a very old one which I had used continually. The new one is easy to manouvre, ensures a tight grip and can move mountains.

Simple and effective - wish I'd known about it a few weeks ago when I nearly damaged my tap trying to get the collar off!!! I doubt it'll get used very often but I wouldn't be without one in the toolkit

I was able to remove a plastic component from a metal assembly without breaking the plastic. Plenty of leverage and easy to use.

The original and best! Will grip almost anything and add leveridge to the job! Only downside is that the rubber strap will perish over time!
