This is the 2nd one I bought and it's even better than the 1st because it now comes with a table top support bracket. The Salus wireless setup easy to install and very low maintenance, just requiring 2 AA batteries in the 'sender' once or twice a year. The best thing about the thermostats are their portability. You can take one into the room you are using and be sure that the temperature in that room will be as you've set it I was hoping that 2 could be used simultaneously in different rooms, but that doesn't seem possible. Once the reset button is pushed on one thermostat the system locks on to that thermostat. You can, I guess wire up 2 receivers to your heating system to get this feature, but I probably won't bother. One request for Salus, why can't we have 2 wall cradles provided to enable the thermostat to be moved easily between 2 rooms?Read full review

As always salus is a very reliable product, This display is too small for most people I think I prefer the older model to this updated version And as before the electrical connections on the R.F receiver are really difficult to make on I prefer the standard back plates which Drayton use .... Other than that it works well and will outlast a Drayton which is very prone to breakdown on the receiver unit

Great value for money and reliable. Despite some on-line reviews saying pairing is unreliable this paired first time and has worked perfectly. Receiver is upstairs and thermostat downstairs and works perfectly. Ability to move thermostat room-to-room is useful. Having lots of people to diner and the thermostat can be moved to the dining room so no longer getting too hot or cold, temp is set to the room you are in. My old thermostat was two wire so I did need to rewire that as this needs three or 4 wires but I had planned for that. I did consider HIVE but my master controller at the boiler has 5 ON/OFF per day and every day can be set differently so I really haven't needed HIVE and this is far cheaper.

I bought this to replce my old honeywell analog thermostat as it was located in the hallway..for years I had trouble controlling the temp in the lounge because the hallway is a lot colder.....my old thermostat wiring consisted of 1. a timer live (red) which only becomes live when the heating is on at the central heating controller, 2. a switched live (yellow) which feeds the timer live back to the central heating controller when the thermostat is active and 3. a neutral (blue)....the timer live is connected to the COM contact on the salus and the switched live is connected to the NO contact...I ran a new permanent live and neutal as this is needed to power the salus receiver and left the old neutral disconnected...once this was done the new salus thermostat worked straight away without any problems....I now have the thermostat in the lounge where its needed instead of in the hallway where its always cold...I think this will save me a fortune as the boiler was almost permanently on due to the cold hallwayRead full review

A good product for the price, easy to install except for the connections. If replacing a different stat and the wires come out of the wall the connection method on this one is poor. The stand is poorly designed so that the thermostat easily tips over, just a little more angle on it would solve the problem. The frost button is very useful but to easy to touch when lifting the stat a two button operation would be better for that. Despite these minor faults it is a neat stat that works well.
