Well constructed and durable. I found the wiring diagram on the internet. Fits nicely into a project box with the battery and switch I provided. I purchased these so I can utilize some old dial style phones with my hand-crank phone "party line intercom" system. This device provides the 20 cycle signal to make the bells ring without the hand crank signal generator. It requires a 12V power supply. I use a three cell lithium battery pack for RC planes for power and a momentary contact button in series with the power supply to ring the other phones. It is easily ringing three sets of bells.

This is the most compact ring generator I have found. It is working well in my prototype telephone. The Western Electric telephones I list here have a bluetooth module in them, this system is no longer made. I soon will be using this ring generator in my next generation "wireless Western Electric 500 C/D" telephones. No other ring generator is as durable as this one. I have drop tested it and it continues to work well. The quality is right up there with Western Electric in the old days. The 500 C/D telephone was made to last, so is the ring generator shown here. I will be ordering more from here soon.

makes a nice (if a little low voltage) source for ringing phone ringers for all sorts of purposes in intercoms and phone systems for model railroads. Also useful for sound effects, unusual door bells etc.

The ring generator drives the bell in my 500 set as promised. I am very happy with the function and form factor of this device.

Will make old phones ring. Good quality construction. The wiring could be explained more clearly but it's simple enough.
