I restore vintage toy cars and old DIY tools as a hobby, and am constantly wary of lead-bearing pant. This product works really well. I tested it on two vintsge model vehicles, one from 1920 and the other from 1964. The older car provoked no reaction and was clearly lead-free, but the newer one from 1964 got an instant reaction and the application brush turned bright red-pink. I was surprised, as I'd assumed the older product would hsve been more likely to contain lead. This product is simple to use and needs no prior knowledge. Just make sure to follow the instructions on the back of the packaging AND those on the instruction sheet inside, which is more detailed. Ten out of ten!

Low cost and easy to use. Just followed the instructions and it seemed to work well. Paint was lead free but the tester pad showed what it wold look like if lead present.

It's not cheap for what it is but, as often is the case, better safe than sorry. I needed to know if the old paint in my cottage contained lead, and as it happened it prooved positive using this stick.

Great product. Pink colour seen on a few paints in our old house. Good information when considering sanding.

I find it hard to rate a DIY product as amazing. But it did the trick. I know I have no lead and has removed the paint.
