Thanks Tony - at least I can rule it out now.
Should there definitely be a fused spur box somewhere then?
Must admit that since moving into this house I've found some very shady bodgeit and scarper goings on...lol.
I will keep looking see what I can find.
Will the boiler have it's own fuse on the main fuse board do you know?
Haha! lol There's nothing there. Checked everywhere. Unless it's hiding in the loft. The longer I live here the more I'm not surprised.
Hunt the socket. I may be gone for some time. And there doesn't appear to be an independent fuse for it on the consumer board either. Jolly days.
So..ok. I phoned a friend and he's had a look at the boiler.
It's not looking good.
He replaced a glass fuse which looked like it had blown and when the leccy came back on it blew - in a big way. Now there's no power to the boiler at all. The consumer board was not tripped and the mythical fused spur does not appear to exist at all. Boiler repairing friend is completely confused. And it's another cold night for us me thinks. lol
Bizarre shenanigans with the boiler.
Fuses blowing left right and centre.
PCB board burning and fan neutral and live showing 240 volts!!
Don't wanna burn in our beds so new boiler now on the cards - need some advise about which one to go for. Why did it have to happen now??
