No idea. Probably best ask home office, or local mp
Sorry, my question was rhetorical because I provided the answer with the question, from a UK gov website.
"You can only apply to be recognised as male or female. Non-binary genders are not legally recognised in the UK."

Didn't i share a government link for applying for this though?

What’s the point of this thread ? Serious question.
Mental health. It relieves boredom, exercises the grey cells, keeps people active, communicating with others etc.

Obviously, there is no value to the thread, but it has a greater purpose.

And what about people born with a confusion of genitalia?

That is not one thing or the other?

That already has a name, intersexual.

Try putting that on a UK birth certificate.
There is only a choice of two, and one of them is not intersex, nor non-binary, etc.

I don't need to. But for those who do, they just need to contact the DWP Gender Recognition Team.

Are there any examples of non-binary, or intersex on any UK birth certificates?

You did, but it was a pointless offering because I've provided proof that only male or female is allowed. Intersex is not an allowable label.

It can also provide food for thought about prejudice against minority groups for no other reason than a lack of education or awareness.

You mean how they're exploited by the likes of you and your agenda and the money men, himmy.
How could any right thinking person wish their own prejudices on minors to the point they cannot reverse an operation in their teenage years leaving them barren for the rest of their lives.

Sex is a label assigned at birth.
It isn't a random label assigned but occasionally it is erroneously assigned.
Non-binary is not an allowable entry on a birth certificate, so in cases of doubt, a best guess has to be applied.

Do you seriously not know what "sex" is?

Or are you just pretending?

You appear to have some sort of religious or phillosophical mind set barrier to accepting that people need not conform to the gender role

Wrong.

However, I do know the difference between "sex" and what you call "gender."

One is a fact, and one is a whim, or a belief, or a feeling, or a desire, or a choice.

You can change a whim.

You can't change a fact.

UK birth certificates do not record Gender.

I've never been a fan of yours John, we both know that, politically we're diametrically opposed and I question your bias as a moderator.

But, credit where credits due, your s**t hot on the gender crap. (y)

The medical profession seems to see this a little more clearly: on a fairly recent visit to A&E the forms I had to fill in asked my assigned gender at birth. I queried this and was told that there was a small percentage of people in the world who think that self-identifying as a man or a woman makes then whatever they want to be. Apparently, in biological terms, it does not. Who'd have thought it?
Should have self identified as a Labrador - then you could have been treated pretty much immediately down the vets, and as such not needed to spend 3 weeks in an NHS corridor, watching nurses pointlessly parade back and forwards playing with their mobile phones
