Any tips on removing van sign writing

On removing sign writing off a van.

I can get the stickers off but the sticky residue is proving difficult

I find petrol lighter fluid is a good solvent for sticky stuff.

Others suggest WD40.

Have tried neither on water based car paintwork though.

EDIT IPA (isoPropylAlcohol) also works, but not as well as Lighter Fluid.
It all depends on what solvents you have to hand really.

Ive started using this which seems to work well.

Hair dryer or paint gun to warm up the stickers.
Go easy with paint gun and turn heat right down.

I use multi solve to remove glue

I ran out of that spray so switched to Meths.

Finish off with Tcut and polish.

It's not easy and you need elbow grease and take your time. Took me 3 summer evenings and a few cans of drink.
 
I've used GTechniq Tar and Glue Remover with good results.
