I think I know the slabs you are talking about, buff with shades of grey, try wetting them down and see if the overall appearance improves. if it does when wet then use a coulour enhancer / sealer. If your not happy with them at all then ask the supplier. You say you used brick acid but the thing...
Good stuff that brick acid, it probably would help but do you recon the cement might have penetrated the slabs. Some of the cheaper ones fade like a good un. Personally I would bleach em to death and use a jet washer afterwards. P.S. dont mix the brick acid with the bleach as it creates chlorine...
All sounds like hard work to me,wait untill the people are fitting the flue and get them to work out where it will enter the kitchen. Also get the plan view of the aga from the people who make it and give that to the flue installers so the two should align or at least be able to be connected...

Correct me if ime wrong but i would use an SWA cable on a...
Check out British Gypsum website for instructions allthough in fairness plastering is a recognised skill and a trade so only expierience can produce a good job.

go for spanish ,its spoken more widely and from the little I know it seems quite a easy language to learn and its a hotter place to holliday. Plus spain has a more family based traditional culture. Slogger you cant loose. :)
some quite nasty stories here I recon to have a bad one allthough I didnt witness it. It was my first night in spain in a bar with the wife and we got chatting to an irish couple in their 30s . After a while I notice some scarring on the chaps arm which looked like burn scarring. With that he...
Hi matey, plasterboard is O.K JUST GET THE RIGHT ONE. Lafarge or British make a bathroom plasterboard specifically for the purpose. Check out thier web sites.
You probably see the joints when light shines at an acute angle across the wall and technically you should not be able to see them.I cant think scim tape wasnt used but a one coat plaster system probably was say a three mill skim of multicoat. the trueness of the finish is related to the truness...
