    Honeywell Galaxy 2-12

That's good to know. Would at least have a clean slate that way - and possibly a manual to go with it too.

    Honeywell Galaxy 2-12

Hi, I've just moved into a new house with the above alarm fitted. The keypad is showing "Alert! Enter code" but neither I or the previous occupier know the code for it (they had a dog, but my cat is not nearly as effective as their German shepherd!) It was fitted by ADT and they want a kidney...

Vokera compact HE - no spark

Fair enough guys... and understandable. I didn't actually realise you weren't allowed to say but it makes sense when you consider the potential for disaster. Like I said, with it being a spark problem, thought I'd try all the electrical side of things that I can get to first before calling the...

    Oil Stains On Asphalt Driveway?

I use washing powder instead of swarfega... cheap and effective - didn't think of trying it with oil spots though, great idea!

    Great response - many thanks

Vokera compact HE - no spark

It's definitely not part of the sealed unit. Not unless massive gaps at the bottom and top count as sealed anyway.... No fear, staying well away from the combustion chamber!

Rover 45 TD clutch to replace

This.... and a 17 year old 45 isn't worth much. Treat yourself to a new motor - you deserve it!

    Trade TEC engine oil

As long as it's the today grade for your motor and you don't stretch your service interval then it should be fine. If you have a high end turbo engine then maybe consider a premium brand just to be safe but if it's going in a 1.2 corsa it shouldn't make a difference. I tend to use cheaper stuff...

    Oil Stains On Asphalt Driveway?

Petrol works well on block paving... not sure about tarmac though.

    Impact wrench = no joy

Plus gas and a breaker bar. Don't be shy with the hammer. Worth checking on a model specific car forum to see if it's a captive bolt too - or splined as mentioned earlier.

Vokera compact HE - no spark

Think I'll go with your first response.... sure it's something simple but I'm not going to open it up. Last time I had a problem with this $hite thing it was just a dirty air switch but tried all the easy stuff now and no joy. Will have a ring round tomorrow and get someone out.

Vokera compact HE - no spark

Sounds like you know but you're not telling..... ;) Fair enough if it's something internal, I can understand why you wouldn't want an amateur opening things up! Just wanted to try and eliminate any wiring / pcb issues first as they are easily accessible.

Vokera compact HE - no spark

Badly worded.... The burner cover is on so it IS sealed (I'm not a complete moron) just removed the outer case so I could see if it was igniting - can't see the viewing window without doing that. It was only serviced in Feb so I wouldn't expect there to be any blockages. I checked the external...

Vokera compact HE - no spark

Umm - was hoping to eliminate some of the obvious myself first. What voltage should the air switch be putting out if it's functioning correctly, are there other places I can can test to establish which section is at fault, etc

    Dent on copper pipe

^^^ this. Copper is strong and pretty malleable, so shouldn't be an issue unless it's been dented with something sharp that may cause it to split (unlikely). If it isn't leaking now, chances are it won't.
