Thanks guys this really helped out today.
After an hour trying to figure out this intermittent fault, I tried a quick search online which helped me out big time. A Good Friday wasn't going so good until I crunched the sensor.
Just want to add this works!! Had to do
Something as everything...
How do you guys keep the LS-X from drying out.
This tube is very handy, but expensive as it always dries out before I can finish it.
I've tried carefully tightening the cap, but some parts at the top always dry out.
Any recommendations on how to prevent this from drying out.

No I was not aware of the rules.
I have now registered myself to the Gas Safe Club on this forum.
I am waiting to be approved.
I wouldn't even encourage Gas Safe engineers who are not confident in repairing boilers. As I believe diagnosing and repairing is a skill which requires...
Yes Agile I know that
If you're suggestion I'm a DIY'er I'm not. I have been Gas Safe for the past 8 years. I prefer to be sure when diagnosing rather then trial and error.
I've read lots of posts by you, clearly you are a very knowledgeable man when it come to heating, but I...
So which one did you go for then?
I always use the ManaClean Proffessional 2, more for the easy of installation then for its protection aspect.
I'm not to impressed with it tho, looking to fit another type of fitter which gives better protection on all my installs now.
Still deciding if I...
Had the same fault today.
1st visit no display, after replacing the pcb, I'm getting a F3 fault now
Tested the fan plug blue & red and there is 24v then it drops.
Am I right in thinking the pcb only sends little bursts of 24v
Just like the initial start up on the DV motor on a vaillant...
Never tried running the pump on a drained system :?:
I didn't clean the hoses as the magnaclean only had very little sludge on it, and the filter was also clean.
I did press the hoses and the were NOT firm like the once which have sludge in it.
But I do agree I should have done the...
Turned out to be a weak pump.
Replaced the wilo pump to a new grundfos pump and all is good.
I was also told by Vaillant technicals that there isn't a way of confirming its the pump.
All 4 NTC's where fine.
Flow rate was around 6.
Thanks 831Bunny
The DV is good, even after running the hot water the heating pipes didn't heat up.
I'm suspecting the NTC, but will check the temperature differential between the flow and return and the ohms
It's hard to image a blockage issue as the dhw plate was very clean.
Why should you help.......aammmm maybe coz you're a nice guy and like sharing your knowledge?
I thought you may suggest a smart way of testing it through the diagnosis menu.
Anyway I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
Those biasi pcb's are too expensive.
There is a company in wembley that repairs pcb's and gives a years warranty.
You send them the faulty one and they send you a reconditioned one.
Hi guys
Need some help pls.
The above boiler has a hot water issue, ch working perfectly fine.
When you turn the dhw tap on the hot water works fine for about 5mins then it suddenly starts to drop.
I had the dial set to 57c, the hot would come on and go to around 70c then drop to...
