Morning. We have an 18 month old Flexicom 30CX. Will work fine during the day, then overnight (during cold weather) the boiler generates an F09 fault and will not come on on timer in the morning. Overnight heating is set to keep house about 16 degrees, but it drops below that - come morning no...
Funny you say that. the Ideal chap said 'BG don't know there is an adjuster on there'. He adjusted it himself as a temporary measure. Unfortunately he must have adjusted it the wrong way since the rumbling was happeneing every 10 minutes after he left. Anyway. All sorted for now.
Thought I would offer some closure here. After much chasing, BG got Ideal out. Ideal said it was the gas valve. BG replaced valve and the noise has gone. [touches wood].
Thanks all.
BG engineer came and 'did some stuff' for more than an hour. No idea what. He is coming back on Friday to 'do some more stuff' including fitting 'a seal'. These are the wife's words so I'm not sure what hapeened or what will happen. The engineer did hear the noise though which is a bonus. I also...
I've no idea if that's been fitted. I've never seen the case bending.
I guess what I really need to do is get BG back and keep them there until it makes the noise. I wonder if to print out this thread to give them some ideas!
OK - so maybe I am barking up the wrong tree here, but as you said inlet...underneath the boiler it says 'gas inlet' that pipe is about 15mm in diameter. But just as it enters the cupboard before a couple of turns to get into boiler it seems about 20mm in diameter. Does that tell you anything?
Thanks. BG changed so much I couldn't even tell you. I know little to nothing about boilers. They have visited this boiler a dozen times in 5 years or so. It's a bit like Trigger's broom in that I doubt there is very much of the original thing left. they did get a new seal for it - but then I...
Hello. Thought there might be someone on here who can diagnose what half a dozen British Gas engineers can't. Our Response 120 has (for the last couple of years) made a very loud rumbling noise from time to time. It usually happens if you switch the hot water tap on in any of the rooms. Now and...
