Just for anyone in same position, got 7" wood burner flue and used that as a liner to protect any combustible material against the flue and used foil tape around the 7" hole of the plasterboard
Hi looking for some advice.
Ive ordered a outset balanced flue gas fire from my local plumbing and heating shop. Its a Robinson willey firecharm room sealed rs.
My wall on the inside where the fire is going is a timber framed construction wall with pir insulation inbetween the timber batts...
So if i get the flavel calibre inset gas fire will i need to board the timber frame with normal plasterboards before constructing a metal frame chimney or does that have to be cement backer boards? And does the chimney i make have to have cement boards or just normal plasterboards around it? See...
Yes thats what im after. So with the flavel calibre fire would i have to make a false chimney to recess the fire into or can I screw this fire directly to a flat brick wall without making a box around the fire?
Looks good but isnt that a hole in the wall balanced flue fire, i thought with them fires you cut a hole in the chimney to fit these but i dont have a chimney

As above ive had my flat roof reboarded and turned into a warm roof just before we had all this rain over last few weeks.
i covered it up but seems like the water has got through and the osb boards are wet/damp in a few places.
Would it cause any problems if the roofer torch onto the damp/wet...

Shouldn't be too much load for 1 bedroom and the kitchen sockets are on a separate 32a mcb ring final
Ive just moved into a bungalow and was looking to add more sockets but ive noticed the current wiring on 1 of the sockets circuit is wired up weirdly with a junction box connected to all sockets from one junction box
So i have a 20a mcb for that particular socket circuit in the consumer unit...
