But that is still defamation. You cannot in public (it is on the searchable council website) accuse somebody of something that may be untrue and be searchable in a house sale that may decrease the value.
Well after writing to the chief exec the planning department have reviewed my complaint and decided that there was no planning permission and toldmy neighbour they have 28 days to apply for retrospective permission.
The application is in and I will complain on privacy grounds (after checking...
My neighbour in 2004 had planning permission to extend their single story flat roof extension on the rear of their house. Various conditions were stipulated by the council. The two relevent ones to my question are 1) the extension could not extend past the end of my house and 2) No access to...
Turn the temp dial up on the boiler and see if the rads get hotter. The boiler should be able to get the rads up to temp where if you touch them they feel hot not just warm (as long as the temp gauge on the boiler is set to that temp).
When the temp is mild in winter outside I run my rads at...
Hi Boilerdokktor no problem.
First off I shoulds say I am very happy with my boiler but I will also admit that I did not know its limitations when I bought it buthat was 6 years ago now and technology has moved on a lot.

First off I am not a plumber or an expert so I can only give you my view of living with a large combi in a large house.
I have a worcester bosch highflow 400 (smaller than the one you mentioned)

Situation is that my parents house built 22 years ago was NHBC guaranteed. They are not the original owners and purchased after the house was 12 years old.

So I have a Drayton LP programmer and it is located in the hall. So another quick question if a Thermostat is to be added is the thermostat wired into the LP programmer or wired into the boiler?
TIA
So I have a WB 400, I have no thermostat on the system, trvs on rads and a timer.
I have read the manual and it says that when the water returning to the boiler is up to temp then the burner switches off, the pump will run for a short time to dissipate heat then turn off.
I can see how...
I have a SMEG fan oven. When I select either fan oven or fan grill it does not heat up. When I select a normal oven and normal grill it works fine.
Does anybody know what part to change as seeing as it works normally then this does not suggest that the heating element has gone.
TIA.
Thanks for the reply. Yes understand that it will not make a full independently controlled 2 zoned system, but at least it will allow me to not heat the upstairs when not required, which should save some money.
Current system is combi boiler and for the central heating I have a 22mm core central heating ring (if this is the correct term). The rads are dropped of from the flow pipe and then returned to the return pipe. The boiler is in the coal shed the flow and return pipes enter the house are fed...

80% of your annual gas consumption will be in the months of Dec, Jan and Feb and maybe march...
