Is the pump directly in the bottom of the washer with the lower impellor on it. We don't even have a book for this thing, thanks for your reply. Angel

I have a Kenmore dishwasher that makes a humming noise when I turn it on, but won't complete its cycle. Also filled up the bottom with water when I tried to run it and didn't drain. I tried to empty most of the water, but that didn't seem to help. Suggestions?
