at the moment, the cavity is open (extension) so can access the rear from within.

The old thermostat was the original from the 70's - cant give the make as I am not at home at the moment. It had red (live) black (neutral ?) and the whole box (metal) was earthed. We have just bought the house. Central heating (conventional) works well from timer control but thermostat in...

My room thermostat died and I replaced it with a bog standard Horsman. Old TS had live/neutral and earth (2 wire) but Horsman needs another neutral (3 wire). Can I make it work or will I need to get a 2 wire thermostat? Thanks in advance
