    ok thanks. It has Im sure rose to a very high pressure a few times before (possibly 2.5 - 3) If this is the case what would that mean? Is the pvr change an expesive job?

    Ok.... What is prv? The pressure gauge shows a reading of 0 unless I refill using the loop. The loop has a stop tap not screw type if that helps and is fixed so not easily removable. If I set the pressure to 1.0 when the heating is switched on it would rise to 1.5 gradually and then stop...

    Hi, yes , its a drop at a time and I can see clearly that it has been dripping for some time as there is a large wet patch on the wall which is semi frozen. Hope that makes sense thanks in advance
