Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24i - Losing Pressure slowly - PRV

I had drained the system as part of a bathroom refit, had to remove valves, tile and refit valves. Took the opportunity to check the EV, before refilling the system.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24i - Losing Pressure slowly - PRV

thanks for taking the time to respond. I thought that too, but there is definitely water escaping the PRV. I put a bag over the outlet to test and it filled over a couple of weeks. Can't rule out any other leaks :(

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24i - Losing Pressure slowly - PRV

Hi, I've read a few thread on similar issues and have been arranging registered local engineers to come and investigate. However, I would like to ask the collective wisdom of the forum for input! Problem is a slow pressure loss, but never down to zero. Usually sits at about 0.3 bar, if I leave...

    Shower Tiles and Panel Help

Hi, I'm about to embark on a refurb of my en-suite bathroom. Still do not have a clear plan, but I would really welcome some advice. Shower will be 1100 x 760, enclosed on 3 sides, with a sliding glass door. I like the idea of using the wall panels, but some concerns about me not being able to...

Stainless Steel Towel Rail - Recommendation

Thank you for the wise words. I'll see how common sense works on the Wife. Shame not of the bathroom showrooms can mix style with practicality!

Stainless Steel Towel Rail - Recommendation

The towel rail is (will be) the only heat source. The room is 2m x 1.5m and the current towel rail is small with a very low heat output, with a large window (1.2m X 1.2m) on the only external wall. I am going to reduce the size of the window to 0.7m X 1.2m and add some insulation to the...

Stainless Steel Towel Rail - Recommendation

Thanks for that reply. I will give them a call. The last chrome rail we had started to show quite a lot of corrosion spots, nothing serious, but it stopped looking good. Perfectly happy to change a chrome rail a few times over, but thinking that SS might be best

Stainless Steel Towel Rail - Recommendation

Hi, I'm planning to get a much bigger towel rail for our en suite, as its starting to feel cold! First winter in new house. Refit will happen early next year, but I am thinking that adding the new towel rail as part of some other (hopefully imminent) work will be best for the winter. Planning...

Megaflo Solar - Limited Hot Water from Boiler

Thanks for the response Dan Robinson! I reckon I'll carry on with getting this modified. A couple of the G3 registered engineers that have looked at the job have said that they wanted to check with the manufacturer before making any changes. So I'm sure they will get the same feedback as me...

Megaflo Solar - Limited Hot Water from Boiler

Just to temporarily revive this thread........ Heatrae Sadia have advised against connecting the boiler to the solar heating coil, as it goes against their standard installation and would invalidate the warranty. Other than invalidating the warranty (which is a risk I am willing to take...

Plywood layer over plasterboard in Garage

Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on finishing my garage conversion. The job is just about done and I now have a fantastic utility room, partitioned off from the rear of my attached garage. All done under building regs and final inspection due tomorrow. My question is about the...

Megaflo Solar - Limited Hot Water from Boiler

Hi, I've just moved house and have a Megaflo solar 210l cylinder connected to a Wocester Bosch Greenstar 24i junior boiler. I have noticed that we sometimes run out of hot water, when there is a high demand (2 adults and 2 kids). We had a similar setup at our old house, but without the solar...

Push Top Basin Waste Leaking - Please Help

Thanks for those suggestions. I'm not sure there is anywhere to attach a chain on my sink! I guess I've learnt that buying cheap means buying twice! Probably try and get a refund, as it should not fail that quick. Will have to choose more carefully next time

Push Top Basin Waste Leaking - Please Help

Hi, I fitted a new en suite in May this year and everything was great, until this week. For some unknown reason, the seal/o-ring on my push top basin waste has deformed and now I cannot close the plug. I got this from Plumb World, but it seems to be a generic part available all over the web...

    Boilermate 2000 system problem.

I have suffered many Boilermate 2000 problems and this forum has been very helpful. Recently, I got rid of the Boilermate 2000 and replaced with an unvented system, fitted by MickyG and so far I am delighted with the results. Not sure on the rules of advertising, so please delete if required...
