Hi all,
Hope someone can help me find somewhere to buy a myson sd53 pump for a central heating system.
The existing pump is struggling to work and smoking when in use.
Have searched the internet for one but can only find a cp53 pump. Maybe this has replaced the sd53.
Would be glad of...
just to let you all know that i swapped the combistat with a digistat 3 and everything is now woking fine
took just 10 mins to fit and another 20 to set it up
thanks to all for the feed back
hi howard,
thanks for your response. the body is plastic as you rightfully say therefore no earth required. so as i understand it the only wires needed are to the common and call for heat, 1 & 3 and that is it job done with the boiler switching the contacts over when no more heat is required...
hi all
hoping to fit a volt free battery operated/powered room thermostat called a drayton digistat 3 and just want to confim what common is on the wiring diagram, is it another term for earth :?: the stat is designed for fixed wiring only, what does this mean :?: assume another term for...
the stat must be faulty
i have touched the wires from the boiler terminals together and the boiler fires, in effect creating a link at the pcb
think i will take the stat back and get a volt free digistat
will keep you informed
many thanks to all who have responded to my plea for help
just joined and have found people really helpful on here
a few posts mention the "for reference" part of the site, how do i get to this as i can see no actual link
many thanks
so what you are saying is (bear with me as i am not too good on electrics) that the stat needs power to it as in say a normal wall socket, then wiring connected to the boiler pcb via the two terminals there for a stat which then run back to the stat and connected in the stat, therefore 5 wires...
i am not too educated in electrics myself
there is no permanent live as this a new addition to a current system at my sister-in-laws new house
she swears by room stats
i am pretty sure that the voltage was 24 at the terminals but could be mistaken
never seen a digistat in use are...
hi artfulbodger
thanks for your response
there was a bridging wire, this was removed for the cable to the stat
the instructions call for either a volt free or low voltage stat so i went for the low voltage (24V) one
Hope someone can help me on this subject as i am at my wits end.
Have been trying to wire a drayton combistat rts8 to a britony se80 with no success. Tried a two wire connection as the boiler only allows this as i can see on the pcb and according to the boiler instructions.
Once it is...
