Problem turned out to be not the Thermostatic valve but the diaphragm in the bolier. all sorted out now.

Decided to take the plunge and shell out £75 for a replacement Crosswater Thermostatic Cartridge - CP0000250 Will post back later this week after i've fiited it and let you know if it's solved the problem.

Hi, Had trouble with cold water fill but appears to be working now. However, I ran it on the 70 degree wash and now it only works VERY HOT - slight burning type smell and control panel VERY hot. Tried COLD RINSE programme and still comes through hot - any ideas?
