    Hi Ian Just posted a picture of what it looks like now. So shall I use drainage channels to direct the water to the sewer? if so where would it be best to place them and would I also need a pump for the bit I intend to lay the lawn in? Thanks

    That's a good point. No they did not test the ground at all. I dug about 30cm deep and took these samples. What do you think clay? It reminds me of plastercine at school. See sample photos and also a few more photos i have taken in the last few months of the garden.

    they definitely used voide crates but not sure if they used membrane. CCTV confirmed that the soakaway is full of water

    so i guess the soakaway can be taken out? It is curently full of water and blocked. Also do I do anything about improving the soil and getting ride of all the cement, concrete and crap that is inside my garden cos when there is heavy rain it is water logged
