ceiling is 8 and a half feet. I don't want to put in "so many", I want to put in the 'right' amount (that's why I'm asking) but for the sake of 20 quid, I'd like to be able to dim them when I want.

fair point. don't won't to go that specialised. any ways round it? I suppose I could do 2 circuits with 2 dimmers. what's the biggest 'standard' dimmer I could expect to buy?

Hi all, I'm going to install some Halogen lights in my kitchen, which is 20m2. How many lights will I need? I'm guessing about 12. If all GU10 bulbs at 50watts will I be able to dim them? and what size of dimmer will I need? Thanks.
