    Hi, have located, what i thik is the flow restrictor (black plastic thing! with two electrical spade connectors going into it !!!) To remove this, do I have to drain the system and remove completely? or is there a simpler way !!!!! Sorry for the silly questions, never removed one before...

    PIPE FREEZE !!!!

    You have just saved me from draining my system. Thanks !!! I took the top off the TRV and found that the pin was stuck. With a bit of gently Persuasion (i.e - Large screwdriver) I managed to un-jam the pin. Now when I turn the TRV to cold, the radiator actually goes cold !!!!! Horray !!! May...

    Thanks very much for that information. I was about to use your method when I found that there is no lockshield valve on the other end of the radiator. It's one of those stupid connections that can't be opened or shut....it's just..... "there" !!!!!! AAAAGHHH. Any idea's !!!???? Whoever...

    I did think about getting the Drayton RF2 or 3, but then saw that it was about £100. Because I had the boiler installed in the summer, I think I'll just get them back round ...and kill them !!! They can sort it out. If I had the wiring diagrams (I've lost the instructions), I could check...
