gasservice1985 thats shocking I agree
...but 1000's of copper pipes / joints burst over the last few weeks.
Surely there is a report or some studies showing that plastic / push fit / self tapping is sub standard.
All this hate, surely some research
Im not dissing your methods for one...
Mickyg were looking for facts now.
These parts are all sold in reputable plumbers merchants, and are all compliant with all building regs.
As you say you guys are all far more knowledgable than me so flex your expertise and deliver some facts / proof

half life - 'exponential decay of any kind '.

Sorry no pics - I tiled over it 4 months ago with some lovely limestone tiles.
I simply using the pressure dial on my heating system and the fact the boiler has not exploded to calculate that...
'customer' is back i see.
Look Im going to stop now.
OF COURSE you plumbers are going to do a far better job than me. Im a DIYer on a DIY forum. You did it cheaper as well. I wish all I needed was 2 copper T's and some solder. Respect to you all.
Where you all have to get off the bus is...
now you can see why your a plumber - try reading my post very slowly with your glasses on
then suck air through your teeth like your charging me for an extra hours labour
then you may just understand
Handbags down gents.
My missus is absolutely fine in our £400k squat thanks.
Im sure you are all more than frustrated at the advancement in plumbing technology. A few years ago your job was a real tough trade to be respected.
Speedfit etc must be the pain of your life, just dont blame...
summed it up for me. 'customers' (on a diy forum)
yes we all hate speed fit under the floorboards, we much prefer your callout fees !!
so what are you charging at the minute to fit a new towel rail ? £16 ?
Im on my horse and riding into the sunset.
Yes thanks joe-90
No plumber will ever agree, I don't expect them to. They want to charge you for 4 hours work to drain everything solder new joints (because speedfit just doesnt work ???) refill add new inhibitor and spend a few extra hours bleeding everything.
A days graft I guessing...
No doubt plumbers are going to hate this method.
The copper remains connected to the exiting pipe.
Both parts are guaranteed to 18 Bar. What do you suggest 'real pressure' is ?
Hi all.
I worked this clever trick out on how to plumb in a new towel rail if like me you are no plumber.
No need to drain anything, no cutting anything. no getting wet
you need two of these self tapping isolating valves...
