Electrolux fridge warm and freezer very cold.

No. Afraid not. We were told the repair could be expensive and most independents we found said they wouldn't repair that brand. Good luck with it!

Tiling on a thermal block floor - which adhesive?

Hi. I need to lay some ceramic tiles in porch on a dense thermal block floor. I presume I'll need to use a flexible adhesive like keraflex but would be grateful of some advice. Also, do I need to do any prep like pva or can they just be laid straight on the block? Many thanks Brittas

Hi, we have built in Electrolux enn28600 fridge/freezer. We have noticed that the fridge has suddenly turned warm (+10) and the freezer is over -30. Just wondered if this was a common problem and if there is anything we can do or if it's a case of calling the professionals? Many thanks...

    Bleed through in painted wood

Hi. We have recently had a hardwood porch installed. The carpenter suggested using dulux weathershield as the paint system, and we applied a primer, 2 undercoats and 2 topcoats. We decided to use the water based system, although within a few days of painting it, we are seeing some areas of what...

    Water based eggshell going yellow

Hi. I bought a tin of white acrylic eggshell. I used about half and have gone to use the other half about 6 months later, only to see that it's drying very yellow against the Woodwork I painted previously... Is this normal for this stuff to go off?.... I appreciate paint doesn't last for ever in...

    Hinges for MDF Doors

Hi All I need to hinge some MDF doors, which are going to be the front of an airing cupboard. The plan was that they would sit outside of the cupboard, rather than within a frame, if that makes sense. They're about 1m x 375mm(W) and they are 18mm thick. Can I get away with standard Butt...

    badly sludged up CH system

Hi all A question on behalf of a pal. He has noticed that two rads upstairs weren't working. Got a plumber in who said there a big problems with sludge and blockages - he reckons that hot water is getting vented back into the expansion tank. From what I can gather, the set-up is old...

    Help with tile choice

Hi, we are about to embark on a bathroom project and I have some questions re tile choice and tiling. We have been drawn to two choices from the tiles we've seen; Travertine or Porcelain. I understand that the travertine ones need sealing, both the wall before they are put up, but also...

Hi We are going to put in a new patio so thought it might be the right time to consider some lighting. I'd get the work done by a part P qualified person but was just after some advice on what to go for. I have seen low voltage kits on the DIY stores but wasn't sure if it was best to go...

Electrolux Washer Dryer - Help please !

Ah, Ok - We dont use the dryer facility at all. So, looking at it when you take the lid off, there are 4 wires connected to an element towards the back of the machine - I'm assuming this is the dryer element as it's next to a fan type unit. Would it be OK to just pull these of (marking first)...
