Is this the receiver wire?

Thermostat now working, still not firing up and I think I have moved round the jumpers prior to today so can't be sure if they are set in the right order. Any ideas what the usual order is?

Good man, appreciate it. I think I will have a go at cleaning up the metal on the thermostat with some vinegar and alcohol, only one of them that is affected, and isn't too bad. Might as well do that first. Inside the thermostat is fine.

So I broke the circuit by turning it off and it would have been ok if I left it on?

Can't believe this has happened just because I turned the boiler off for a few days, this never happened with my Worcester boiler in my old place. I wish I would have just turned the got water right down now instead, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

You've lost me . I'm a novice when it comes to boilers hence why I'm here. Could I locate this myself maybe and fiddle with it? It was only serviced last year, was in my completion docs.

I'm guessing the receiver is still in the boiler but the thermostat unit has never been on and batteries are dead. Went to put new ones in today but one of the batteries had leaked, clean it up best I could with rubbing alcohol but it wouldn't come on.
