Yes, there is a timer but I had set it to Continuous for water and CH, just in case. I will now reconnect the Sangamo rstat1 using terminals 1 and 4 and not 1 and 3 ?

Inexplicably the CH is has come on and the green led on the boiler is on as well The red wire is connected directly to the yellow wire with no thermostat

Both red and yellow wires show live with a neon tester. Shall I try connecting the blue and the yellow together ?

Yes. I simply removed a very dirty, grubby old Honeywell stat for a new Sangamo Rstat1. Have not made any other changes

to securespark I connected the yellow and red together (1 and 3) but no change. No green light on the boiler

I stupidly threw away the old stat. If I join 1 and 3 together, yellow and red you mean ? And if I were to totally disconnect the thermostat ? What should happen ? Is the CH dependent on the thermostat ?

I threw away the old honeywell. Should the CH work regardless of the thermostat ?

Did as you directed although no effect on the boiler. Green light still hasn't come on and no CH. Any further suggestions ?

Bought a Sangamo rstat1 to replace old honeywell thermostat. There are 3 wires, yellow (live) blue and red (live). Sangamo diagram not very clear as to what wires go where ?. Connections on the Sangamo diagram say 3=Heating load. 4=Cooling Load and 1=L. Will this have an effect on the...
