    Overflow problem

Upon closer inspection the smaller tank is indeed connected back to the central heating tank. So it looks like I'm going to need a proffesional to have a look at the tank itself, which, although I have never witnessed appears to be chucking water into the little tank everytime it gets turned...

    Overflow problem

I've had a problem with an overflow pipe from a tank in the roof for a while now. I have two water tanks in the roof, one big and one smaller, I cannot for the life of me work out what the smaller one does. Nothing I seem to do lets the water go downs, other than manually emptying it with a...

    condensation on Toliet Cysten(sp?)

Right ok, this is what I'll do. I try having the bathroom window open alot more in the next couple of weeks, and then if that works I'll look into getting a fan installed, is it the kind of thing I can do my self?? Should I not bother with a simple vent? and go straight for the fan...

    condensation on Toliet Cysten(sp?)

Our biggest problem is with the cistern. Which generally is worst at night (heatings off). I don't mind opening a window after a shower but this doesn't appear to be linked with steam from baths or showers?

    condensation on Toliet Cysten(sp?)

but surely thats normall?? could it be that the cold water tank in the roof is too cold? Yes there is heating in the bathroom, we do get quite a bit of condensation on windows in general? Is it all linked? is there anything I can do? Cheers

    condensation on Toliet Cysten(sp?)

I'm having problems with alot of condensation on my toilet cysten(sp?). I think it may be because it is on an outside wall. Is there any thing I could do to help get rid of this as its getting to the point where it drips off and leaves puddles on the tiles below? Thank you

Has anyone got any more thoughts on this?

    Rattling pipes

its a kind of rattling that goes on for about five minutes and then stops then we've just got the normal humming which is fine. I don't know alot about central heating but we've got quite a strange system anyway. The hot water heats up the radiators as well, which I'm pretty sure its not...

    Rattling pipes

I tried that at the weekend and it still rattled, just in a different place, and slighty louder. It was under the floor boards so I can't easyily have a look at it under there. So I took the clip back off and am now back to square one. Any more tips?

    Rattling pipes

I have a problem with a noisy pipe, when the central heating or hot water is on. It is situated in the cupboard with the hot water tank (which is in our room, making it worse) The noise stops when I hold the pipe. Is it just a case of getting a bracket, or is the problem more serious...

    Overflow outside dripping?

"Have you checked the washer on the valve?? It may well be old perished rubber and be a bit broken and not shutting off the flow no matter how low you set the arm to be" that sounds good. Its been dripping since we moved in (March 04) and I think the dripping is fairly constant, so I'll have...

    Overflow outside dripping?

I was thinking that I could adjust the value (same as Loo) so that it doesn't fill up as much, therefore doesn't drip out of the over-flow? I'm I wrong in this assumption?
