I have had the pressure sensor replaced. The digital readings are now lower and look more realistic....low grey reads approx 1 bar.
However, the pressure still increases from 1 to about 2.6 bar with CH and DHW demand.
You make a good point about the system cold fill pressure ideally 1-1.5bar because at that level my gauge is only just off zero....presume the gauge could be faulty!
I have 4 rads and 2 hydronic plinth heaters downstairs and 4 rads upstairs so would think the internal expansion vessel is...
Hi,
My boilers symptom is it's normal operating pressure, to ignite, is about 2 bar which is middle of the grey on the gauge. Once fired it increases to some 2.8 bar. (The Valiant eng has set CH temp to high as I have a Rf thermostat.)
Have just drained the system and repressurised the EV...
Hi, I'm looking for advice please on what's been a very long 6 months waiting for a new door ordered on March 28th.
Story is my original 1930's door has failed. Discussed at length with a reputable hand crated door company in Essex to get a new door and frame. Settled on a 56mm Sapele...
This is my first stab at installing a timed extractor fan in the bathroom ceiling.
My fan has double electrical insulation(Class II) and therefore the instructions call for a double pole switch - no earth. But from reading here I think I need a triple to isolate L,N and switched live?
I...
I've just tried to install a vrt 360f RF thermostat to my Vaillant 831 combi and it doesn't work.
Connected the receiver up to the eBus (2 wires), removed the old thermostat and placed a jumper between terminals 3 and 4 as advised in the manual.
The receiver has 2 status LED's. The green is on...
I have a new Vaillant 831 combi installed and am looking for a decent RF thermostat. Undecided between the 360f or the CM927.
They seem to have the same basic functionality that I need. 7 day programmable with ability to set different temps at different times.
If anyone out there has...
Me Bengas man, not a plumber, just asking some straigthforward novice questions. Not been listening to anyone so just relax. I read that you should never fit more than 50% TRV's...enquiring as to why.
Interesting...thanks.
So I pose no risk to the boiler by having all TRV's active and the room thermostat set high so calling for the boiler to engage?
In such a case I guess the boiler will simply heat the single rad in the room with the thermostat. My worry from reading other threads is...
Hi, should or should I not fit TRV's on all my rads?
having a new Vaillant 831 Combi installed next week and I'm thinking to fit TRV's in most rooms other than where the thermostat is sited.
This boiler is modulating which I understand modulates the flame according demand from the CH...
My Biasi has been costing me a hundred quid here and there since moving in 2 years ago.
First off the air pressure switch was suspected and it turned out to be debris build up on the venturi.
Recently I've needed to turn on the DHW to get the CH to engage..suspected ignition box which turns...
