I want to replace my cooker's electric hob with a gas one. I also have a twin electric oven underneath. There is one main cooker switch on the wall and it seems to power off both the ovens and hob when switched. All of this appears to be connected to a 30amp fuse in the main board.
I assume...
Masona,
I just need 2 of the 'large' windows that open (like the ones shown here in the link) http://www.twsos.com/windows.html
They are Standard Casement Windows and are square leaded. They are practically the same size of the ones shown in the link. Any idea of the price of these? :?
As it says above, I need two misted (between the panes) units replaced - the frames are fine (I'm not interested in all this 'repair/clean' stuff you see advertised) as I've read that it's easier and probably just as cheap to get replacements.
What I want to know is, who is the best person to...
JohnD,
It's ceramic. What I mean is, is there a product I could paint over the scratch to 'seal' it and stop it getting worse.
PS. You're right about women - I've got a mirrored cabinet above the unit, a wife and heavy bottles..... :(
As the topic states, I have got Small scratches/hairline crack on my vanity unit handbasin. On closer inspection it looks as though that it's just scratches. Is there any products on the market that you can buy to remove these / paint over to remove them? :?
Thanks.
Thanks, Softus.
I'm at work at the moment so can't post the details you require until tomorrow. There's agood little plumbers merchant where I live so, if it's a common type (after you informing me), I'll go and try there.
Thanks.
Softus,
Re. part 3 of your instructions:
"3. Unscrew the valve body using a ring spanner on the hexagon shaped part.
(The spanner needed is probably 17mm.) "
I've already done that but there is only an 'O' ring on this - I can't see any disks or washers. Would they be inside this body...
Softus,
It is leaking from the spout. How do I 'service' the valve? Do I remove the circlip and then unscrew the nut below it to gain access to the seat/washer? :?
As it says in the title above, I've changed the 'O' rings on my kitchen mixer tap as it was leaking - but it's still dripping.
I've deduced that the cold tap is causing the problem as I've tured the cold supply off and there's no drip but, as soon as the cold supply is turned on again it starts...
I need to replace the washer on my cold tap but am unable to remove the shroud to gain access to the washer. There doesn't appear to be a grub screw or anything else that will let me remove the shroud/cover.
See picture below for tap type. :?
One of my radiators will not change temperature when the TRV is turned down or up - it's always boiling hot - even at the minimum setting, thus the room is always like an oven !!
I've taken it off (unscrewed it) and cleaned it i.e blew it and even hoovered it. Still to no avail.
All my other...
