Quoted to fix the leak, which was coming through the seal between the wall and the flat roof, they said the felt and the flashing were fine so I thought they were just going to use the stuff on the join. I don't mind that it's all over but would have liked it smooth and not the impasto cake...

Just to check - is this acceptable from a professional roofer? I'm thinking not. Had some leaks between the roof felt and the wall on a bay window flat roof - that is now sealed over with this waterproof acrylic, along with the rest of the felt which I didn't expect, but the finish is not...
