Fixing chipboard to screed in conservatory

Hi I am planning on laying https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/Egger-Tongue-and-Grooved-4-Sides-Moisture-Resistant-%28P5%29-18mm-x-2400mm-x-600mm/p/323194 to create a level subfloor in the conservatory - the screed isn't terriblly uneven just a little bit too uneven for the planned laminate...

    Wood threshold on brick

It is above the DPC, so will go straight into the brick, thanks. My concern is going only into the mortar between the bricks (as the frogs are empty) - is that going to cause a problem with stability (as this will be walked on) or am I over thinking this? Many thanks.

    Wood threshold on brick

Hi Hope this is the right place. Have just removed old UPVC patio doors (the wall is now interior), which, after removing the lumpy mortar, has exposed the brickwork it was sat on. I would like to put in a piece of wood as a "threshold" of sorts (the entire opening will be framed out with...

    CH & DHW switching issue

Apologies for long delay, I was away. New programmer arrived and fitted. All problems solved. Many Thanks to all.

    CH & DHW switching issue

I tested that connection earlier, it will only go live once I cycle the HW controls, so it does seem to point to a dodgy programmer. I assume there is no way to link the programmer out so to speak, to test this theory? Thanks again.

    CH & DHW switching issue

I did, sorry for not making that clearer. With HW and CH off, and Lx disconnected, the Lx wire is off. When I turn on CH, the LX wire remains off. When I turn on HW, the LX wire remains off. When I turn off HW, there is an audible click from the programmer, and the Lx wire now goes live.

    CH & DHW switching issue

Lx does not go live when I turn on the CH until I cycle through the HW, it does stay live then, even when HW is put back to off. I have retraced the wire to Lx and it is in a block with the wire which leads to CH on at the programmer, nothing else. L1 does go then live when I operate...

    CH & DHW switching issue

Right, another update. I have traced everything out as per the wiring diagram you enclosed, and it is correct. I have two questions though. I also have a CH Off output from the programmer, but there is no wire from that terminal. As it is not included in your diagram, I assume this is not...

    CH & DHW switching issue

Ok, I am working through the diagram now, so far, found no mis-wiring, so far as I can tell. Tracing the 'black' wire shown on your diagram entering block 4, is running as shown from the programmer CH ON terminal. When I then turn CH on on the programmer, should that not be live? currently...

    CH & DHW switching issue

OK CH & HW set to "ON" on the programmer. CH & HW termostats turned up to max. White, Grey & Orange wires disconnected. White = Off Orange = Live 240 Grey = Off

    CH & DHW switching issue

At each time I am turning the cylinder stat right up to stimulate a call for heat. Having done that the valves does move to W once I have turned off the CH.

    CH & DHW switching issue

Thank you for your quick reply, I have a multimeter in the post now, so tomorrow will get back to you with results. Many Thanks.

    CH & DHW switching issue

OK, so I have replaced the MPV with the same model again, and still the same problem. The valve will sit at either W or H, but never M. To get HW to work, I need to cycle through the CH from on to off on the programmer. Opposite is req'd for CH to work. I'm stumped. I'm sure I have wired...

    CH & DHW switching issue

OK, thanks for your help. So a faulty SW2 would not only result in a failure to find the mid position, but also cause the MPV to essentially be stuck at one end or the other until the DHW or CH is manually turned off and on? My understanding would be that if I put the valve to the manual...

    CH & DHW switching issue

Hi, I have read through the FAQ, so apologies if this is a rehash, but I can't spot my problem in there. Basically, I cannot get CH and DHW to work at the same time. The equipment is as follows Boiler : Ultracom 15hxi Remote Thermostat/Receiver :BRTRF/BR1 Timeswith/Programmer : iflo...
