    corded bathroom light pulls?

I thought the plastic toggle was a safety feature, to prevent children accidentally hanging them selves, it makes a weak point in the nylon cord

A Question about Wiring Colour Code Conventions

Slightly off topic , but why does 3ce flat grey cable not have a blue core instead of the grey one. This would rule out a lot of confusion when one core is used as a neutral conductor.

    17th Question.

No it doesn't work like that. When they say there isn't a minimum score they mean they don't publish a lowest point score to get a pass.I have been told it can vary from day to day as a percentage mark of the scores by the people taking the test that day. Also the paper is split into sections...

New Miele Oven causing main RCD to trip. :(

No the protective device is there to protect the cable not the accessories. That is why you can put a 13A socket on a 32A ring final circuit

    PME and supplier responsibility

There is no responsibility for the supply authority to provide an earth. We have several TNS properties with failed earths. When found on test we just fit earth rods . This is done on the authorities advice

    Fluke 1653B Installation Tester

I've been using the 1652 for four years and agree with all the previous posts comments. I fitted cable ties to the strap ends as it fell off and dropped down the stairs (its very robust, it bounced three or four times) I've also had to replace the leads twice. Some of the tests are slow but I...
