Currently our vertical soil stack is connected to a 90 degr bend at the bottom which then has a triple socket branch to pick the soil up from a toilet which is about 45 cm away from the main stack and then runs horizontally to another toilet and out of the property.
Is it possible to have a...
Just wanted to give a big shout out to sparkymarka for his rapid help and counsel - system is up and running and works remarkably well even with the wifi thing !

Thanks sparkymarka - I may also need your wisdom on how I should be using the "Input Areas" function in "Change Inputs". Currently I have all these setup as "All" rather than "Any" and to be honest I stuggling to get the difference here !
i have manged to successfully install the System but am struggling to get the programming of the Zones working correctly.
Scenario: the Hall has a PIR which also has the control panel and then the front door which has a sensor.
I want to be able to get Zone A to set all the house by standing...
We are fortunate to have a number of outbuildings - one of which is a 3.2m x 3.85 m old wooden stable built on 4 courses of bricks on concrete slab with a flat felt roof with a pitch of around 6 degrees
Sadly its completely falling apart - roof leaks badly; construction leaning heavily; wood...
I need to install a new exterior composite back door into a single-brick thick utility room.
What fixings should I be using ?
The frame is 4 cm thick - so I was thinking of using these which would go straight into the brick work to a depth of 6 cm - is this sufficient ...
We are looking to get our 4x4.5m kitchen re-boarded and skimmed. We have had a local chap in to look at it, with a laser theodolite thing and he has advised that - as the joists are not all exactly level - there is around 1-1.5cm variance between shortest and tallest - installing sister joists...
Hi Garyo - I would use foil-backed PIR but the joists are so uneven that getting any kind of uniform seal anywhere along the length would (to my skill level) be impossible - hence falling back on the rockwool.
Perhaps I am overthinking all of this .....
I would be cautious - and I say that because our "new" house was re-roofed using reclaimed tiles some 15 years ago. All of which have delaminated and are breaking up and now need replacing....
I have done a lot of searching on this topic and its clear that (at least to me) its unclear as to what the best plan is with a cold roof.
I have an existing 4 x 4.5m flat roof build in the mid 1970's and is enclosed on three sides by other parts of the house - so only one side could be vented...
Thanks again for help - and I am right there with you wrt the costing for what is essentially a utility room. Even if I demolish it and remove the existing slab to get piled foundations installed would be 7k from the cheapest contractor - then cost of the new brick work and the roof rebuild - so...
You are quite right - my description is not great so I'll try again.
Single story existing utility room 1.8 m x 4.1m build sometime in 1977 on back of single story kitchen extension of the same date.
Utility room shows sign of slippage to one side - has approx. 10 mm gap in masonary between...
