I had the same problem and was about to buy a new inlet valve when I found this post. Ordered a replacement washer on ebay for abour £2.50, which arrived a couple of days later and within 10 minutes, job done. Many thanks for saving me a lot of time and money.
Cheers I'll check them out. There are a couple I know of though I think they are isolating valves as as well as the arrow they have a turnable screw.
Is there any way to tell if that's the problem without replacing.
Anyway got to go to bed now - so I'll follow up tomorrow.

3 out of my 4 top floor radiators refuse to heat up. The one that does work is immediately above the boiler and I suspect may be on a different flow. It is an open system.

I've tried turning the others off as recommended above but with no joy.
Yes I do have TVRs on 2 of the 3 - but I've checked they're not sticking in - in fact I've removed them both so the valve should be fully open.
Any other ideas?
