I've got exactly the same problem. The heating goes on ok but won't switch off until I move the transmitter closer to the receiver. New batteries have been fitted. Any ideas? What did the OP do? Thanks, Daz

Hello. Did you resolve your problem? Ours is doing the same (well, almost - I can put the transmitter about 10 feet away and it works but it no longer turns off the heating from the lounge which is about 18 feet away). Thanks, Daz

Just out of interest... what would happen if you wired the black to com and the red to L1? It's ok - I have just wired up a switch in the way described here (red to com and black to L1) but wondered if I was ever confused in the future, what the telltale signs could be? Thanks, Daz
