    laser level for tiling

I've just looked up the DeWalt online and it seems to fit the bill but it is a little overpriced for DIY. Do you know any tool hire shops where I could hire one of those from or something equivalent?

Hello, can someone tell me what type of laser level I need for tiling my bathroom? Any makes better than others or are they all pretty much the same quality?

Yes, it's an external laser. It does grades / slopes too which might be of use to you in landscaping?

    Laser Line Level

I've just bought a Leica Rugby 280 laser level, it's a great bit of kit but took some research to find the exact right kit for my needs (as things like receiver and accessories can change depending on your trade / use / job). I shopped around the usual places such as screwfix and B&Q but the...

    Prepared for the snow!

ha ha ha - yeah, it is a bit grim up north and the further north you go the more grim it gets! Don't get me wrong, it's not "brass monkeys" just yet but I wont make the same mistake as the last 2 years and end up stuck on the driveway, digging the van out by hand :)

    Prepared for the snow!

After waking up today to find a layer of frost over the car, and hearing from a friend that we are in for another white Winter, I've already bought a snow shovel and some rock salt! This year I will be ready for the snow - bring it on!

3 function hammer drill - DeWalt or Makita?

I'd have the Makita. DeWalt aren't as good as they used to be, in my opinion!

    Core drilling large holes

Have you tried to call a few hire companies and ask them? It's always my first port of call these days for odd / one-off tools for odd / one-off jobs... I've used National Tool Hire Shops a few times and they always seem to sort me out with whatever I need. I've never seen one for sale...

Mini Digger Hire - do you need a licence?

noseall, I thought earlier today that I might need some sort of licence to use a mini digger but I've been told I don't as I'm only using it on my own property and not driving it in the street or working on the road.
