Hi all
Wondering if anyone knows what type of threaded screw is required for the adjustable strike plate keep on my door? Both screws are lost but door will not "latch" if kids close door behind them i.e. slam it! This is probably how screws have been lost.
It looks like a M5 but just wondered...
Looking for some advice here.
I bought the following door online as it was suitable for my height req'd and would need trimmed on the edges (28mm).

Hi Matz
There is a small gap at the moment which I can see into with a torch. I can see the stud (which is mounted into the leg) turning as I turn the leg, so that fit is secure.
As I said, the stud is fitted into an insert within the chair, but I've tried pulling on the leg as I turn it...
Hi
I'm trying to remove a chair leg from an armchair. The problem I have is that the leg just keeps turning and won't tighten or loosen off.
It looks a simple design as per usual with a stud on the leg going into an insert in the armchair.
Can someone offer a possible solution or cause...
Hi "Ban-all-sheds"
Where can I get this plate? I've been searching google and also been to B&Q who didn't seem to have any.
As I mentioned, Plan B is not an option for me nor Plan C (wires are plastered into wall).
Thanks!
Hi
I've got a light in my downstairs cupboard which hasn't worked for ages due to a broken wire (the wire has been proved dead) so I've decided to fit a battery powered light with a pull cord.
The electrics in the house are old (2 black wires, one with a piece of red tape wrapped around it...
Isolated both the shower mixer and the bath tap one at a time, shower first. Definitely an improvement. Still a slow drip from overflow.
Then isolated the bath tap. No change to overflow. Still slowly dripping.
I'll try that. If I can find out which mixer is the problem, will it still be a case of fitting a check valve?
Last throw of the dice. Will post update tomorrow.
Thanks
ps water from overflow is warm water
I've realised that I failed to ask an obvious question! What pipe do I fit the valve to? The cold pipe downstairs next to the kitchen sink?
Thanks!
p.s. in relation to an earlier reply re reducing hot water flow, the hot water flow downstairs is pretty poor.
