Apart from the use of what looks like plumbers mate? on the sink waste - I'm always amazed that installers/house-holders dont follow recommendations and fit non return valves on the wm/dw wastes pipes?
remember going to a blocked sink once - put my hand in to check if there was any blockage in the plug-hole (never ceases to amaze me how many times its that simple) - the silly cow of a tenant didnt tell me she tipped a bottle of caustic soda into the sink  - she come very close...
cheers chaps - I'll pas it through to an heating engineer just to check the boiler over to be on the safe side because this overflowed quite a lot (too much for the overflow to discharge anyway)
Hi all - is there any reason for a C/H header tank not to have a expansion pipe? - had a job last week that the header tank had boiled over but there was no expansion pipe? - only had a 15mm feed/22mm outlet and overflow outlet - not come across one before, thanks
threads shocking on them - in fact if theres nothing else available I always buy two just in case and its nearly always the case it cross threads - try to avoid at all costs - like previous posts - fluidmaster brass shanks all the way for me
Yesterday - the brother took in half a builders bag of old copper - half a bag of brass taps and a couple of stainless sinks - £70 - honestly I get amazed everytime we take something in
we are only here to help mate  - but in answer to your question - not please dont put the flexis under any kind of tension and if asking about frost-proofing the pump - dont put it where it can be subjected to frost - you'll be asking for trouble!
presuming if you cant see it you cant get to it? - if so theres not really a lot you can do unless you take it out and use jubilee clips on the joints - hate these baths - always had problems with them
Hi chaps, bit of advise please, my brothers boiler emits a burning smell when heating is on, its ok when hot water is running and ok when heating is on low, any ideas?, thanks
