never had problem with mcalpine 1 1/2 bowl sets,get the lad that fitted sink back if i was you,only need rubber washers no sealant

thanks for quick reply,have neighbour who has same shower as me and since he changed to a combi the cold supply doesnt shut off properly and keeps running from shower head he has replaced seal but still has same problem is this because shower is not designed for combi or does seal just need...

is a mira 88 mixer shower suitable for use with a combi boiler?mixer was originally tank fed but obviously wont be if we change to a combi,just wondered if we needed to change mixer.thanks in advance

anyone know how to remove spout on vola kitchen mixer?there is no grub screw, the o rings need replacing but cant get spout out.

you may not have to drain tanks in loft,should be valves fitted to turn supply from tanks off,should be red wheel/lever

i am fitting a new shower for ensuite,i have a 900/400 hot cylinder which will be supplied by cistern in loft just for this,no other outlets im hoping i'll have enough head so no need for pump,just wanted to know if i had to have 50 gallon tank or would 40 do,i may have to fit shower pump if...

i'm fitting hot water cylinder for new bathroom,the cwsc is not directly above it,is it ok to for vent pipe to go through ceiling then across loft about a metre before going up and over cistern.the cwsc is in middle of roof to allow it to be raised but vent pipe would come through at edge of...

thanks for reply,im limited for space as there is no loft to put tank in,the main bathroom has cylinder under cwsc in a big cupboard,high ceilings so room to sit cwsc high enough on specially made frame,the bathroom is long way from bedroom where ensuite is to go so i want to recreate this...

hi all ,is a 25 gallon cwsc big enough to supply hot cylinder 36/18 and cold feed to shower,hot cylinder is just for shower too so no other outlets,would need small pump for shower as not enough head without one

anyone know how to sterilise a water softener thats been out of use for about a year,was not used due to flexis being kinked and leaking. have replaced and now want to get softener going again..

hi all,can anybody tell me if it is ok to connect a series 155 water softener using copper instead of flexi pipes,the flexi pipes that are on it at the minute are too long and have been twisted and leak .If i can connect with copper pipe it will save me finding flexi's that are short enough...

hi all,just ran mixer tap in friends house and when water had drained away it left what looked like a shovel full of sand in sink!tap has not been used much for 4 or 5 weeks prior 2 me using it,could this be a problem with water softener?will it clear with regular use or get worse?any ideas
