I'm about to begin work on a utility room extension into my garage. As part of the work I will be replacing my existing hot water cyclinder and having it moved to an upstairs cupboard by a competent person.
In an effort to future proof myself I will be installing a slimline...

However im not laying directly to the joists. I am laying on top of my existing floor boards and Im looking for an underlay to sit between those floor boards and the new solid wood flooring.

Last weekend my brother (Gas Safe registered ) and I installed a new combi boiler, piping and radiators.
I took the decision that whilst I am doing all this work and having to rip up old laminate and carpets that I might aswell lay solid oak flooring once heating was installed...
Have you considered a vermiculite based board, These are rated at withstanding tempratures up to 1100c.
I will be installing these around my stove when it is installed next year.
Can i suggest turning the router off/on at the wall.
I usually find this resolves the issue. I have a similar problem that occurs every so ofter with my netgear router.
