Stuart Turner Monsoon pump problem...comes on itself !!!

I came across this a while ago.....checked nrv's etc.....turned out that there was a dead leg in the system that air had built up in, this was causing a ricochet which was switching the pump. Worth a look, simple things first and all that?

Rcm1 and shower pump not turning on

Ok well it's up to u, it's not correct tho. If you spent out on the rcm1 so may as well bought a twin impeller pump and done it properly.... I can see your point re: the size of the tank but, if it's that small it may even be too small for the pump you have? You asked for advice, you have...

    Megaflo Pressure Queries

If its a red expansion vessel then it's for the heating, the megaflow has a built in expansion air gap at the top (I'm assuming you know this as you know about regenerating it?) therefore the pressure gauge relates to your heating system pressure and is nothing to do with the megaflow. To start...

Rcm1 and shower pump not turning on

Where is the pump installed? Where is the cylinder in relation to the shower? Ie cylinder downstairs, shower up..... The shower should be fully pumped hot and cold, not pumped hot and mains cold....they require balanced pressure across the hot and cold, might be worth checking this out first...

    Is this allowed??

On a slightly different tangent....what's the general opinion on a prv and tprv from an unvented cylinder run UP in one 15mm pipe into the top of the f and e? Acceptable or not??

wiring a system with 2 heating zones and 1 dhw zone valves

so what exactly is your point then knowitall...oops sorry, doitall i mean?? seems you have digressed somewhat?? No, its not scaremongery at all....installed incorrectly, they can explode, thats the truth, which is why they are only to be installed by registered installers....do you have this...

wiring a system with 2 heating zones and 1 dhw zone valves

I didn't say you we're rude, however, undermining someone could be considered that. I was merely commenting on your attitude. As for who the hell I am, is none of your business but, I'm someone who is qualified in this field as well as many others and actually currently work on these systems. I...

wiring a system with 2 heating zones and 1 dhw zone valves

FYI, every unvented install I've ever done has been notified before work commenced! It's how you do things PROPERLY and by the book, also covers your back!! It's a basic rule, end of. If you are not even notifying then you are not doing it right. Funny how building control were involved heavily...

wiring a system with 2 heating zones and 1 dhw zone valves

Would you use Y plan for a multi heating zone system though? You can still use a 2 channel or even a 1 channel programmer and have as many zones as you desire. Would obviously need to be an s plan though ;)

wiring a system with 2 heating zones and 1 dhw zone valves

UNVENTED CYLINDERS SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED BY AMATEURS OR ANYONE NOT HAVING CORRECT TRAINING!! THEY ARE POTENTIALLY BOMBS WAITING TO EXPLODE IF NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.....take a look on youtube at megaflows going up...litterally!!! If you can afford the megaflow...you can afford the installer...

    Gap-filling around flue
