There's no fusebox next to the timer. The switch next to it is the immersion heater. (The other cable is the security alarm). I'll get in touch with an electrician.

This is what it was like before. Unfortunately, I did power it up, and I think I have damaged something. For some reason, I didn't get notification of these replies, and I was rushing to get the job done. Stupid, I know. Anyway, the timer control in the airing cupboard is no longer...
