I want to set up a ammeter to monitor current on a circuit, using a CT. Current should be around 25A (240V). I can't get my head around which ammeter and CT should work. Looking at a couple on RS, can someone guide me as to how to choose two which are compatable? Thanks...

Why would an electronic ballast go faulty when removing a tube?

UPDATE - today one of the fittings had both old tubes lit. I removed one tube, and as I did I heard a pop, and the fitting died. It was live at the time of removing. I have never had a ballast die on removal of a tube, let alone 6 fittings in total (differnet ages too) all do this. Seems very...

There is 6. Makes it difficult to check the motor windings properly as the connections are within the motor. But yes, I could check there isn't a short between the two sets of three.

I believe it trips on both speeds. Its a motor which lifts the blade up and down, I believe on a worm screw type of set up. There is no way to test the windings, as the actual winding star point is inside the motor.
