    Ecotech - Pressure issues

boiler engineer turned up recharged the EV and refilled the half empty radiator and this seems to have fixed everything The analog pressure gauge is knackered and they asked if I was interested in replacing it of if I could live without it? I am living without it thanks for your help on this

    Ecotech - Pressure issues

Right, taking the system as fully cooled and not working due to low pressure I have partially drained the radiator in the loft as it's the warmest room Drained it by simply letting water out of the system at a ground floor radiator which was easy enough the plan is that the top radiator is the...

    Ecotech - Pressure issues

Yup, it carked it again whilst I was at work. When the heating is off for a period it then refuses to come back on as I assume the pressure drops as the water cools F22 error, 0.2 bar pressure To coax it back to life I open the infill valves and let barely a splosh of water in to raise it to...

    Ecotech - Pressure issues

so both pressure measure the same thing? Do they do anything different or is one just a crappy basic visual thing for home owners? can't see where water is being lost from checked all the rads, checked under the house, checked the ceilings, checked the outside where boiler is, can't see...

    Ecotech - Pressure issues

currently running, gauge on the right has kicked in and up about 1/3. digital display was showing 3.2 but I took a smidge of water out of a radiator and it dropped to 2.4 I assume that increase on running is due to expansion tank not working as expected as the water heats up

    Ecotech - Pressure issues

hi, Having intermittent problems with our boiler, going to call out an engineer but attendance/fix is days off due to availability and them all being busy and wondered what people think Capture by FNG posted 18 Mar 2018 at 7:15 PM * not a photo of my actual boiler, this is a stock photo from...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

hi, I am not saying there were no issues before Yes, the boiler was moved from the bathroom to the kitchen and 2 radiators replaced/moved too. I have seen the plumbing for the new stuff, it's 22mm soldered copper pipe and beautifully done but connected to a series of poorly done previous work...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

hi, done a 2nd clean and the water still looks very very inky I have refilled and put an inhibitor in for the moment So, I am interested in fitting a filter such as the Fernox TF1 as a long term solution but I was wondering if one can be fitted? Our Vailent combi boiler is in a kitchen...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

Ok, the heating and cold spots have improved It's not perfect but it is a distinctly better I am currently draining the system to remove the x400 and water is looking like strong tea from the very start the first time, the water was clear till I got to the last couple of buckets...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

Right, an update I could only get to wickes at the time and they only sell their own brand stuff in the shop, everything else is online only which is annoying. Anyway, I bought 500ml of cleaner, drained a bit out of the system, added it, refilled and bled everything and left it for a week...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

Ok, I drained about 2 L out of the system via a valve on one of the ground floor radiators. I then added a sludge remover to the very top radiator in the loft, sealed it back up and topped up the system again I have the heating cranked up to 21 degrees just for tonight to get the water...

    radiator issues, not heating equally

hi, don't want the expense of fitting a filter It's a sealed system, no tank. I have no idea how bad the sludge is, it may be bad, it might not. I read the thread on the diy flush, I don't really want to be touching the boiler or the pipes if I can because if anything happens it's a...
