    Downlights - No access above

Thanks. Is it the sort of job you would get an electrician to do, or more of a builder sort of thing? I'm not sure I feel too comfortable having a bash myself :(

    Downlights - No access above

Hi, Are there some top tips (or is it not possible) for fitting down lights in the roof, without being able to get to the other side? As in, I cannot get to the floorboards in the room above. This sort of light I mean:

Bay window roof - canopy and extend

Hi, I have a standard bay window with a flat roof. If I was to put a sloped roof on this and extend it to over the door too (called a canopy I think) like on this picture, will it require planning permission? Google seems to say no. But the house has had previous extensions, then it seems a...

    Bay window roof/windows what order?

Hi, Not so much a DIY question, but I respect the opinion of people on here. I want the flat roof replacing on my bay windows (with GRP) and also the windows replacing. Am I best getting a roofing company to replace the roof, then a window company to do the windows? Or the windows first...

    Golf 1.4 tsi petrol 2013

I once changed it in an 8 year old 3 series and what came out, looked identical to the new stuff. Total waste of time and a pain to do as you had...

    Golf 1.4 tsi petrol 2013

Not sure on your budget, but just to put things in perspective for you. For £16,000 you can get a brand new, decent spec Toyota Auris 1.2T on 0% APR. A brand new car with a 5 year warranty!!! No MOTs for 3 years, bullet proof reliability (unlike a VW). Everything is new, so no need for new...

Best time to buy from dealer

I would say the prices will be the same. A dealer tries to make a set amount, or percentage on each car. Go find a few cars you like and offer low amounts, say 7% off the asking prices. If one bites then cool. If not, just keep trying, or accept the prices don't really change and you didn't...

    uPVC Door Handle Points Up

Hi, When locked, the door handle on our uPVC door points at about 11pm, rather than a flat 9pm. Is this wear in the internal mechanism, or will a new handle fix it? Thanks in advace
