Have just tried switching all the MCBs off, but the RCD still won't stay on 'on'. The indicator goes green for a nanosecond, but then back to red. From what you've said it sounds like it might be broken. Thanks
Yes, I do mean the RCD. It's a rented house, been here 6 months. It used to be two flats, so there is a separate board for upstairs and down stairs. It's the upstairs board with the problem.
