OK get that, so idealy what you are saying is you want the house to temperature asap in the morning so when you are asleep it would be a waste, but in the day/evening run it on a low setting as you are in the house for that time.

So from that I take it that you are trying for a quick heatup in the morning and a low power gentle heat in the day. Why do you say losing two hours heating cost in the morning?

As you know valliant boilers do you know what d50 minimum fan speed does.

The problem with Valliant is that it ignores d0 during the first 60 seconds and thats what causes it to cycle. Down rating d0 is just to size the boiler to my system, cuts down noise.

I think you are right, it was just a question can a Valliant be slightly down rated within the settings other than the normal d0 setting. Its not that big an issue now I have the pump speed correct and the curve set actually lower as this gives a longer wait time. Also I make use of all the rads...

Done that, thats how I have got it to work 95% of the time OK, it was just I came across someone that managed to down rate their boiler more than just with the normal setting, but it was not a Valliant.
